What Our Students Say
Hear from our students who have gained valuable skills and career growth through our training programs.
Changes relative to the former legislation were clearly articulated and examples were provided. The presenters were knowledgeable on topics presented, but it is a new legislation with lots of unknowns. The workshop was very interactive.

Mellissa Moffett
Trainers were knowledgeable and able to interact with the audience. Everything was well covered. For my personal knowledge, I would like to be invited to an industrial relations workshop or training.

Pulane ‘Molotsi
The overview of the Acts, especially the Labour Act. The engagement of participants. The trainers were very prepared, elaborated, the content of the acts very well and practical. They left no stone unturned.

Mpinane Letsie Moleko
The presenters went in length, in bringing to the attention of attendees where the legislations come from. The discussions on the hours of work were my highlight. Deliberating on unfair labour practices was also ideal, the decided cases shared, became very useful authority. You would believe the presenters were the craftsmen, they singled out the intentions in most of the new provisions they shared.

Unknown
Interpretation of the new legislation, clarity on working hours, conditions of OSH, importance of training workers on safety measures, these are the things I learned.

Ntau Nokoane Matela
I have learned about some of the changes from the labour code into the new labour legislation, and how they should be applied in different sectors. I would say the trainers were very good, because their explanations were very clear and they were even giving chances to ask questions, where further clarifications were needed, and were allowing learners to discuss and were given an opportunity to express different opinions. I would say generally, I was satisfied with everything, food, venue, and trainers. I would like to further be trained on Corporate Governance.

Maselimo Ramafielane
I learned about Tharollo Holdings, regular references to ILO Conventions, need for regulations giving some problematic areas such as domestic workers being workers and how they should be dealt with.

Malena Mofoka
I learned that there are lot of provisions that were explained and deliberated well, in the labour code, that I understood differently from what was discussed, now I understand better. The trainers were knowledgeable and able to transmit information which allowed a lot of interaction.

Unknown
I learned about the work permit application process, working hours, overtime and leave day’s applicability, roles of NACOSH and NACOLA. The trainers give real time or relatable examples, and they were fluent in communication and very engaging on the topics discussed.

Mokhethoa Matabane
Comparison between provisions of the code and new additions in the act. Identifying challenges that originate in various workplaces, due to the ambiguity of certain sectors and how these changes affect employment contracts. The trainers were knowledgeable, ability to clearly articulate the provisions, and ability to practicalize the provisions.

Malereko Khutsoane
I learned that it is very important to enforce compliance in the workplace, that we should adhere to the new provisions of Law stated in the labour act and that we should appreciate the amendments flexibility. The trainers were prepared and were able to deliver quality interpretations of new provisions.

Mareitumetse Koma
I learned that Labour Legislation reforms can take decades to happen. Also that labour Legislation seeks to protect, not only the rights of an employee, but also rights of an employer, it strikes a balance. There was not only a presentation on the provisions and their explanations, but there was good interaction on the provisions between the presenters and audience trying to understand what the legislature was trying to achieve.

Tumelo Hlalele
Both the employer and employee must comply with the Labour acts in all aspects of their job. All trainers were calm and open to all discussions that came up, this was a two way train.
